Vic Hippler was reunited with his parents, Victor S and Mary Jane (Gartland); sisters: LaRue Bulloch and Dona Mae Trenkle on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Vincentian Home in Pittsburgh surrounded by the presence and love of his family. Vic was born December 27, 1935 in Johnstown and he graduated from Johnstown High School in 1954. His strong work ethic guided him in many occupations in construction, Bethlehem Steel, proudly serving his country in the United States Army, and retiring from Conemaugh and Blacklick Railroad. In March 1956, he began courting Dolores Dolly (Lux), his wife of 57 years, with a drink of Lemon Blennd at the Westmont Dairy Dell. They were married April 23, 1960. Vic enjoyed designing and decorating various themes for his golf cart which he would drive around his Whispering Pines community accompanied by his ever-present Italian Greyhound, Bambi. Vic loved to run errands, cut grass and blow snow, usually for hours as he would not only tend to his own yard or driveway but also those of his neighbors. The most loyal son, brother, husband, father, and Pap. Friends will be received from 2-8 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset, where a vigil service will be held at 2 PM.
