82, Windber, died February 7, 2018, at the Windber Hospital. He was born June 14, 1935, in Buckstown, son of the late William H. Bense, Sr. and Mildred (Carpenter) Bense. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Vose. He is survived by his wife, Janis (Shirt) Bense, whom he married January 17, 1957. He was a member of the Rummel Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed collecting and restoring MG cars, and was a member of the New England MG Car Club. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from United Metal Fabricators. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Henderson Funeral Home East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Ruby Mader, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded at graveside by members of Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team.
