Adelaide's Story

(Adi) was born on December 17, 1939, in Beaverdale, Pa., to John and Ruth (Long) Morris, and died on June 29, 2017, in Boynton Beach, Florida. Adi is survived by her children, Jack and Margie (Yingling) Gardner, Mark and Patty (Bennett) Gardner, Gary Gardner, Kyle Gardner, and Carol (Gardner) Crane; her grandchildren, Jared, Ben, Jordan, and Kate Gardner; Brandy and Iad Alhassani, Sean and Erica Kerchner, Jamie Gardner (and Alex Yurgaitis), and Paige and Bryan Gale; Scott and KateGardner; and Jonathan, Zachary, Ethan, and Sam Crane; and her great-grandchildren, Aidan Gardner, Colt Perro, Carter and Lea Alhassani, and Charlotte Kerchner. Adelaide's mother, father, brother and sister-in-law, Tomand Betsy (Swelfer) Morris preceded her in death. She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Vickie, John and Gail, Paul and Susan, Ed and Cathy, Bill and Helen, and Dave and Jeannie, her sister, Margaret, and by her nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren, two aunts, and cousins by the dozens. Adelaide also leaves behind a very special friend, Jeff Hale. Adi wanted her memorial to be "a party." In that spirit, her family will host a celebration of her life in August.
