Andrew Sr., 93, Northern Cambria, passed away June 23, 2017, at the home of his son, David in Hastings. Born Feb. 5, 1924, in Barnesboro, son of Nicholas and Helen (Somoncko) Hromoko. Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Marquetta (Freeman) Hromoko, who died Nov. 12, 2001; sister, Helen Guidetti; and brothers, Nicholas, Michael, John and Joseph Hromoko. Survived by children, Pamela Stavish, Northern Cambria; Alice, wife of Chris Greiner, Brunswick, Ga.; Andrew Jr., husband of Susan (Wotherspoon), Pittsburgh; Helene, wife of Jeff Lowmaster, Montgomery; and David, husband of Connie (Paronish), Hastings; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Brother of Ann Gomolka, St. Benedict. World War II Navy veteran. Retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. after 34 years of service. As a skilled craftsman, Andy worked throughout the area providing handyman services to many area families who came to appreciate the quality of his work. Andy was a very active member of Kinport Assembly of God Church throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed the company of his many friends at Northern Cambria Senior Citizens Center. Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria. Military honors will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by a funeral ceremony conducted by Pastor Connie Homerski. Committal, North Barnesboro Cemetery.
