Anne's Story

92, St. Benedict passed away April 18, 2017 at home. She was born March 30, 1925 in Barnesboro, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Witowich) Zrioka. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tony Kaschak, brothers John, Tom, Steve, Pete, Joseph; sisters Helen, Sadie and Kathryn. She is survived by children Anthony (Carol) Kaschak, Alabama; Michael Kaschak, St. Benedict; Regina Cruse, Alabama; Robert (Cathy) Kaschak, Lancaster, PA; Lawrence (Roseanne) Kaschak, Alabama; grandchildren Anita Kaschak, Janel Robertson (Arthur), Karen Kaschak, Chris Cruse, Kyle (Shannon), Graham, Dylan Kaschak, Fiancee (Francesca Metzgar) , Kasey Kaschak (Christian); great grandchildren Andrew Holman, Nelson and Stroud Robertson; brother and sisters Bill Zrioka, Barbara Wargo and Dorothy Emerick, special brother-in-law Jack Emerick and special friends Leona Dowey and Pat and Dan Kelly, Emerick, Wargo, Archick, Zrioka, and Bartkovich nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Barnesboro High School and spent her life as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Anne was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, where she was member of the choir and Altar Rosary Society, member of the and St. Benedict VFW Post #7783 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends. Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 146 North Main Street Carrolltown, PA 15722, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Additional visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am funeral Mass Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown by Rev. Jude W. Brady, OSB. Committal church cemetery.
