65, passed away [peacefully at his home in Veneta, OR on August 24, 2017. Dan was born in Manchester, Connecticut, on March 12, 1952, son of the late John A. (Johnny) Adams and the late May A. Adams. Survived by his faithful beagle companion, "Miles," his sister Allie Adams and her companion Brian Caldwell, his nephew Will Kraemer, his father's partner Doris Shever, 20 first cousins and their families, and many friends. Dan was a professional drummer and later played vibes, as well. He was in many bands in Boston, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania, including " Kindred Spirit" in Johnstown, PA. Dan studied music theory and improvisation at Long Beach City College, California. He also taught drums. Dan had a "Jack Kerouac" list of other occupations such as house painter, construction and maintenance worker, computer servicing, and Los Angeles bus driver. He was also an excellent leather worker, creating many gifts for family and friends. And now--------rest in peace, little brother.
