Domenick "Mickey"'s Story
88, of Richland, went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2017. Born February 13, 1929 in Johnstown, son of Frank, Sr. and Edith (Altimore) Stumpo.Preceded in death by parents, sister Philomena Fannie Chirillo and brother-in-law Joseph Chirillo, sister-in-law Pauline (Gironda) Stumpo, brother-in-law John Angello, brother Dante Doc Stumpo, brother Anthony Buck Stumpo and sister-in-law Marie (Cantela) Stumpo, sister Loretta Stumpo, in-laws Gaetano and Theresa (Carino) Anastasi, sister-in-law Angeline Anastasi, step-granddaughter Julia Lockwood.Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Josephine (Anastasi), children Gregory and wife Jacqueline (Brant) of Timberlake, NC; Deborah and husband Thomas Lockwood of Durham, NC; Michael and wife Marsha (Engle) of Warrenton, VA; and Matthew of Johnstown. Grandchildren Dylan, Joseph, 2nd Lt USAF Domenick and fiancé Jackie Babos and James Stumpo, step-grandchildren Nathan and wife Pam and William Lockwood. Brothers and sisters, Samuel Joseph Stumpo; Mary (Angello) Delusa married to Eugene; Frank, Jr. married to Jeanie (Manganello); Louise Mattis married to Ed; all of Johnstown, James married to Gail (Cordaro), Littleton, CO; and sister-in-law Ruth (Pingatore) Stumpo; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Mickey attended Greater Johnstown High School. He worked at Bethlehem Steel Corporation and retired after 33 years from Greater Johnstown School District as a building engineer in 1991. He was a US Army Veteran and an avid sports fan. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, East Hills Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 404 Walters Avenue, Johnstown PA, 15904 (Near PA Drivers Center and Armory). Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, formerly St. Anthony Church, Woodvale. Fr. Matthew Misurda.
