Elizabeth Nancy (Roccio), 89, passed away on Friday afternoon at her Duncansville home with her family at her side. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John and Mary Grace (Pretola) Roccio. She married Louis A. Torso on June 27, 1953, and preceded her in death on March 19, 2015. Elizabeth was a devoted and loving mother of four daughters, Regina Torso, Tina Buck (Patrick) and Sheila Frederick (Mike), all of Duncansville, and Lisa Frye(Jeff) of Altoona. She was also blessed with five grandchildren, Dustin Buck, Aubrey Frederick and Joshua, Austin and Carson Frye. She is also survived by a sister, Joann Claar of Altoona; and two brothers, Richard Roccio of Duncansville and James "Jim" Roccio (Mary Agnes) of Johnstown. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert; sister-in- law, Barbara Roccio; and brother-in-law, Sheldon Claar. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially during holiday celebrations and valued the importance of tradition. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at the Santella Funeral Home, Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal at Calvary Cemetery.
