Helen Irene (Brown), 88, Johnstown, passed away April 15, 2017. Born August 29, 1928, in Whiteville, NC. Preceded in death by father, William Brown; mother, Cornie Ruth (Hammonds) Brown; stepfather, Seymore Blackman; brothers, Daniel P. Brown, Odell Brown and Howard Blackman, all of Whiteville, N.C.; also, brothers-in-law, William "Hub" McGirt, Whiteville, N.C.; Stanley Frederick of Lamar, PA; Andrew Hirt of Youngstown, Ohio; John B. Tessari, and his son, John, and Michael A. Tessari, and his wife, Lois Dianne Tessari, of Johnstown. Survived by husband, Dino A. Tessari, with whom she was married to for 67 years. They were married on October 15, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Whiteville, NC. She leaves Dino with an empty place in his heart and will be sorely missed. Children, Ronald, married to the former Lois Sleek, Johnstown; Sharon, married to Steven Sheehan of Boston, Massachusetts; Michael Anthony, married to the former Debby Fox, Johnstown; and Dino Anthony, married to the former Charlene Moss, Johnstown; grandchildren, Shaley Ann Kobs and Evan Brett Sheehan; Robert Heath, Ronald Chad and Jill Noel LaRue; Maria Ann and Michael Anthony Liimatainen; and Charles Benjamin Tessari and Dino Arron, Geneve Rae and Ella Marie Tessari; and great-grandchildren, Chase Kathryn Liimatainen and Anthony Michael Tessari, Tessa Ann Marie and Grace Austi Sica Corey, and Madelyn and Owen Kobs, all of Massachussetts. Brycen Roderick and Delaney Noelle Tessari, Mila Ann LaRue of Johnstown and Maria la-tye Tessari of North Carolina. Also survived by sister, Lorene Delight (Brown) McGirt of Whitesville, NC, and brother-in-law, Anthony Tessari, married to Janet Heinrich, Alum Bank; and sisters-in-law, Palmira Frederick of Lamar and Florence E. Hirt of Youngstown, Ohio. Former employee of Gee Bee Department Store, Richland. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Committal, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Cemetery, Windber. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held.
