Laura's Story

, 34, of Windber, was called home to be with the Lord, for the first time in forever after a long courageous battle with cancer. On July 22, 2017 Angels guided Laura home to Heaven while being surrounded by her loving family, at Windber Hospice. Born on July 23, 1982 at Windber Hospital. Daughter of Kimberly (Miller) and John Fleck. Preceded in death by father, John Fleck, grandfathers, John S. Fleck and Jay Miller and grandmother, Ethel Fleck. Survived by mother, daughter Cheyenne Mae; grandmother, Phyllis (Pritt) Miller; sister, Denise (Fleck) wife of Marlin Plummer, nieces Victoria and Isabella, nephew Isaac Plummer. Also, these aunts, uncles and cousins; David Harclerode and wife, Tina (Miller) and their daughters, Jaymie and Jeanna Harclerode. Kerry Miller and wife Cindy (Nadonely) and their children Jonathan and Marlayna Miller. Marlin Miller. Shawn Miller and son, Ryan Miller. Kim (Fleck) wife of Paul Sulosky and their sons Preston and Jakob Sulosky. Bryon Fleck and wife Valerie (Kalonich) and their daughter Kristy (Fleck) Chapell and Joseph Fleck. She loved her dog Zoey who was her faithful companion. Laura is also survived by special friends; Samantha Kormanik, Amanda Tessari, Danielle Claar, Brianna (Kenno) Obets, Barb Godin, Roscoe Pritt, Amanda Kisiel, Heather Kachmar, Dani Rager, Chelsie Berkebile and Shannon Hildebrand-Flick and many other friends from Lowes where she was a former employee. Laura was a wonderful loving mother to her daughter, Cheyenne, who she adored with all her heart. She was the love of her life and enjoyed every minute with her. She was beautiful inside and out and one who always saw the beauty in things. Laura being glamorous with fashion, shoes, hair, make up and jewelry. She also enjoyed road trips, traveling, shopping, decorating, baking, singing, watching movies, painting and crafts. She was creative with a good eye for color. She was always there for her family and friends in their time of need. Laura thanked God for her doctors; Dr. Ryan Levy and Dr. Larry Beatty, who listened to her, and his caring staff. He called her Wonder Woman and Cheyenne, Wonder Baby. Laura was a 2000 graduate of Windber Area High School. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church and Berkey Church of the Brethren. She will be forever loved and missed by many. Friends received 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber and where the funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Reverend Nathan Crissman, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations will be graciously accepted to help the family.
