(Leonardis), 88, Windber passed away September 17, 2017, with family by her side. Born December 11, 1928 in Windber. Daughter of Isidore and Fannie (Roschnafsky) Leonardis. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Frank Pekala and brother, Isadore Leonardis. Survived by son, Robert Pekala and wife Judith (Michaels) and daughter, Elaine wife of Robert Adamchak. Also survived by sister, Loretta Fochtman; sister-in-law, Roseann Leonardis and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired employee of Bestform Foundations and the Eureka Department Store, Windber. Louise played the accordion and was a member of the Red Hearts Band. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, cooking and baking and was known for her pineapple bar. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. Friends received from 12 Noon up until 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber followed by funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 2 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. Reverend Roderick N. Soha, Pastor. Interment, St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Windber. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Viaquest Home Health and Viaquest Hospice team members.
