78, Carrolltown, passed away June 12, 2017, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born May 29, 1939, in Emeigh, the son of John Checock and Rose Miller. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John, Stanley, Joe, Frank, Walter, and Andy Miller; and sister, Virginia Belski. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Margaret Marge (Malinowsky) Miller; daughter, Teri, wife of Harry Younkin, Northern Cambria; sons, Paul Miller, husband of Samantha (Potonic), Westover; and Christopher Miller, Macungie, PA; and grandchildren, Megan Leslie, fiancée of Chris Kriedler; and Michael Leslie. Also survived by sisters, Rose Basile, Utica, NY; and Elizabeth Liz Klingensmith, Brandon, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and former member of Knights of Columbus. Member of Northern Cambria Civil Defense Club. Paul worked many years in the mining industry as plant foreman with Barnes & Tucker Co., Inland Steel and Consolidation Coal, both in Illinois, then retired from Tanoma Mines. Friends will be received from 4:00 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Church. Fr. Ronald Osinski and Fr. Larry Lacovic concelebrants. Committal, St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
