Ryan's Story

33, Pittsburgh, formerly of Johnstown, died on August 13, 2017. Born January 21, 1984 in Pittsburgh, son of Craig Stephen Carosi and Stephanie Johns. Preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandparents and special Uncle Phil Maiorano.Ryan is survived by his father, Craig Stephen Carosi, mother, Stephanie (Koval) Johns, wife of Rich, brother Devin and sister Lauren. Ryan is also survived and will be greatly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers, his sibling-like pet birds (Banjo and Caesar), his adopted turtle, Franklin, and his K-9 niece Lola whom he loved. Ryan was an extremely talented carpenter and was gifted in all aspects of construction. He was a 2002 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and a graduate from Penn College of Williamsport. He was employed by DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen. In his spare time, Ryan enjoyed walking in the woods and to the local convenience stores where he would always receive a warm welcome from friendly neighbors. Ryan also enjoyed fishing at the Que, expressing his pride in his Italian heritage, and his precise way of making spaghetti sauce and meatballs from scratch. He was always someone, alongside his beloved Uncle Mark, who the family could count on at a moments notice when something needed maintained or fixed. Ryan was also a fan of all Pittsburgh Sports and was anxiously awaiting the Steeler season.
He was a loving son, brother, nephew and cousin who will be dearly missed. Friends and family will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017 where a Funeral Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Inc.
