Bill was a dedicated family man and a devoted educator for 40 years, but had to leave his beloved 8th graders 2 years ago due to his illness. His contributions to his church and school community were expressed by the outpouring of love and support to Bill and his family during their time of need. In his honor the Holy Rosary-St. Richard Catholic School closed the day of his funeral so faculty and students were able to attend. Bill, a 1969 graduate of Ferndale Area High School, attended UPJ before venturing to Miami and concluding his degree at the Florida International University. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, his Beatles music and memorabilia, working with his hands on projects and repairs for himself and friends in need. Bill was a steady, pleasant force in our lives, and as the saying goes, you don't have to be famous to be remembered, and that he will be. Viewing was held Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the Woodlawn Cemetery South, Miami, FL. Funeral Mass was Monday, May 8, 2017, at the Holy Rosary-St. Richard Catholic Church, Palmetto Bay, FL.
