Albert P. Dishong Obituary
East Freedom, PA - DISHONG - Albert P., 76, of East Freedom, passed away July 3, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. Born May 17, 1950, in Johnstown, son of the late Albert J. and Mary Lou (Humphrey) Dishong. Also preceded in death by brothers, Dennis and Daniel Dishong. Survived by wife of 56 years, Linda Jean (Vitko) Dishong; sons, Kurt J. Dishong and Shawn M. Dishong and his partner David L. Everhart; and brother, David J., and his wife Linda M. Dishong. Albert was a graduate of Johnstown High School. He served in the PA National Guard for 10 years. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp., Car Shop Division. Johnstown. He was also the owner/operator of the former Runners Pace sporting goods store in downtown Johnstown. He did maintenance and landscaping at St. Bernadine's Monastery in Hollidaysburg and was a former Deacon at St. John Gualbert Cathedral in Johnstown. After leaving Johnstown, he and Linda also lived in Clearwater, FL, Williamsburg, PA and East Freedom, PA. In his spare time, Albert enjoyed bowling. Friends received from 12PM until time of memorial service 1PM Friday, July 10, at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 109 Church Road, Davidsville, with Rev. Fr. Matthew Baum presiding.
