Vintondale, Pa - Verba-Alice "Dot", 93, Vintondale, passed away peacefully with her family's love April 18. Born February 28, 1933, in Vintondale, she was the daughter of John and Annie (Butala) Kuhar. She was the last living member of her family. Proceeded in death by her parents, husband John, brothers Charles, John, Joseph, Bruce and Frank. Sisters Margaret and Elizabeth, Daughter-in-law Anna (Hegedus) Verba. Dot is survived by children Joseph, David (Carole), Jeffrey (Tammy), and Vincent (Tina). Grandchildren Cristie (Rich), Ben (Heidi), Leigh Ann (Eric), Brandon (Rachel), Steven (Cal), Alison (Todd), Eric (Angela), Lauren (Dalton), and Matthew. Great grandchildren Lyndon (Emma), Yanessa (Gio), Jerzie, Brady, Morgan, Edith, Emily, Cecilia, Ryan, Genevieve, and Benjamin. She was a former employee of the Ebensburg Center. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family. She enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. Alice was a member of St. Mary's Church and the former Immaculate Conception Church where she served as an outstanding Lector. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 3-7 PM, at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo. Funeral mass will be Friday 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Fr. Kevin Queally, TOR, the Celebrant. A private family internment will be held at St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks. The family would like to thank the staff at Maple Winds Health Care and Personal Care units and Grane Hospice for their comfort and care.
