Alice C. Walters, 97, Johnstown, formerly of Altoona, passed away Monday at Arbutus Park Manor in Johnstown.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Catherine (Allen) Wilson.

She is survived by a daughter, Jean Arcurio and husband George, of Johnstown; and a grandson, Joseph Arcurio and fiancé Katelin, in South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Walters; and a sister, Jean Northsen.

Alice was a 1945 graduate of Altoona High School. She also graduated from Zeth Business College. She retired after 35 years of service from SKF and continued to work part time at Hess's and Kauffman's Department Stores.

Alice was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. A member of Wehnwood United Methodist Church in Altoona and she enjoyed reading, flowers, shopping and lunch dates with her family and friends.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Richard Kastelic and staff, Arbutus Park Manor and Aseracare Hospice for the loving care Alice received.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, 16602. Inurnment will be made at Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Alice's honor to Arbutus Park Manor, 207 Ottawa Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 or to Wehnwood United Methodist Church, 2511 Juniata Gap Road, Altoona, PA 16601.
