IRONS - Anna Jean, 95, Johnstown, passed away March 26, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 2, 1920, in Johnstown, daughter of Ralph and Jesse (Hamilton) Zimmerman. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John W. Irons; son, John W. Irons Jr.; daughter, Bonita Irons; granddaughter, Christie Lynn Irons; brothers, Ralph, Earl and Herb; and sisters, Sarah and Phyllis. Survived by loving children, Ronald, married to the former Marsha Cook, Strongsville, Ohio; and Denise, married to Jeff Collins, Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Jeff II, Jenny, Jordan and Justin; great-granddaughter, Catherine; and sisters, Joan Askey, Johnstown; and Shirley Love, Johnstown. Lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Retired as a secretary with 25 years of service from Dale and Ferndale school districts. Member of Fraternal Order of Eagles auxiliary and Dale Women's Club. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. There will be a short eulogy service at 6:30 p.m. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery, the Rev. Randy Bain, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
