JULIAN - Arthur Q., 98, a resident of the Village of Maple Heights, Ebensburg, formerly of Gallitzin, died Nov. 7, 2024, at the Village. Born Sept. 1, 1926, in Gallitzin, the son of the late Noe and Adelaide (DeNobile) Julian. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Ann Bertocchi, on June 6, 2008; brothers, Louis, Alfred, Anselm, Anthony, Robert, and Dante; and sisters, Mary Rimshaw, Clotilda Delozier, and infant sister, Lavinia. Survived by his children, Richard "Rich" (Jacqueline Stewart); Mary Beth (Frank) Falchini; and John N. "Jack"; grandchildren, Michael (Brittney) Falchini, Devin (Abigayle) Falchini, Andrew (Ashley) Julian, and Alexandra (Joe) Pochis; a great-granddaughter, Brynn Pochis; and a sister-in-law, Dolores Julian. Doc retired as a professor at St. Francis University. A graduate of Gallitzin High School and a graduate of Penn State University receiving his doctorate in education. He taught in the Gallitzin public schools and was an education professor at St. Francis University. He was very active in church and community activities. Member of the Gallitzin Alumni, Library and Tourist Council. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, the Rev. Albert Ledoux, celebrant. Committal, St. Patrick Cemetery. The family suggest donations be made to Gallitzin Public Library or a charity of your choice. The family thanks the 5th and 6th floor staff at the Villages for their compassionate care given to Art. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
