Parkhill, PA - CEKADA - Betty "Betsy," 90, Parkhill, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Aug. 2, 2026. Born on Oct. 17,1935, to the late Michael and Anna (Berzonsky) Yackulich. Preceded in death by loving husband of 63 years, Frank M. Cekada, and siblings, Anna Kopyt, John Yackulich, Charles Yackulich, Michael Yackulich, Paul Yackulich, Donald Yackulich, George Yackulich, Mary Partsch, and Helen Margetan. Survived by children, Diane Walsh (Bill), Daniel Cekada (Cathy), and Donald Cekada; grandchildren, Sara Faulisi (Marco), Tyler Lenio, Bethany Lenio (Chris Forrest), Elisa Charles (Adam), and Annie Cekada; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Freidhoff ("Red") and Dorothy Rosebaum; sister-in-law, Donna Yackulich; former son-in-law, Thomas Lenio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty enjoyed crocheting and embroidering. She also loved traveling to the beach with family. A viewing will be held on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes, 1521 Frankstown Road, Johnstown, PA 15902. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Transfiguration, 220 Oak St., Conemaugh, PA 15909. Betty will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be shared in Betty's honor to the Church of the Transfiguration or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
