Hyndman, PA - Betty J. Sheldon, 92, of Hyndman passed away June 8, 2023, at Lions Center in Cumberland

Born March 25, 1931, in Johnstown, PA; daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Naugle) Chon. Also preceded in death by husband, Richard "Dick" Sheldon, brothers, Joseph, William and Robert Chon; sisters, Mary Armstrong, Lillian Salyan, and Chris Banko.

Survived by children, Richard W. Sheldon II and Joy of Hyndman, Brooke Sheldon-Maimone and husband Alan Crawford of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Tori Sheldon, Paige Coleman and husband Wade, and Logan Sheldon and wife Julie; Ashley, Hailey and Cody Maimone; great grandchildren, Talon, Oakley, Olliv, Leona, Lazarus, Lillian, Ezekiel, Wyatt and Enzo; many nieces and nephews.

Betty worked at Best Form in Johnstown. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was a cub scout leader. She was a proud two-time breast cancer survivor. Her and her husband enjoyed driving around and exploring the state of Pennsylvania. She also enjoyed watching the birds out her window and the wildlife at their farm. She was very proud of her family and loved her hugs.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman Tuesday June 13, 2023 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday June 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. Viewing one hour prior.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.
