Johnstown, PA - 72, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2025, at Memorial Medical Center. Born on July 4, 1952, in Johnstown, son of the late James P. Sr. and Irene B. (Strayer) Thompson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Susan I. Lehman. She is survived by her loving son, Jason D. (Julie) Varnish, Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Jack and Addison Varnish, both of Pittsburgh; siblings, James P. (Carolyn) Thompson Jr., Diane E. (George) Gvozdich, Ronald L. (Darla) Thompson, David B. (Denise) Thompson, and Scott A. (Teresa) Thompson; brother-in-law, Thomas Lehman, and several nieces and nephews. Brenda was a 1970 graduate of the Greater Johnstown High School. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. Brenda enjoyed traveling, reading, going to the beach, and shopping at Kohls. Brenda loved her entire family very much, especially her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon on Saturday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Entombment will be at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
