Hasenohr - Carol Janice, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born June 6, 1934, in Richmond, Staten Island, New York, to the late George and Grace Brill. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert F. Nielsen and Clinton Hasenohr.

Carol worked as a zoning officer for many years in Holmdel, NJ. She enjoyed gardening and camping during her spare time. Carol loved servicing God and her community, she volunteered full time before and after retirement. Carol believed that she served her God when volunteering. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday school and being the Girl Scouts leader. Carol was a very strong and brave woman.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Shafto (John), of Taos, NM; son, Keith Nielsen (Angel), of Lenior City, TN; daughter, Susan Brunelli (William), of Clarksville, VA; step-children, Edward Hasenohr (Helen), of Tinmouth, VT; Robert Hasenohr (Janice), of Lewisburg, WV; Joseph Hasenohr (Vicky), of Hudson, OH; sister, Grace Glenn, of Morganton, NC; brother, George William Brill Jr., of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, John Radford Shafto, Kyle Robert Shafto, Nichole Nielsen, Brandi Brandstetter, Keith Nielsen, Merissa Nielsen, Jacqueline Morrison, William Brunelli, Nathan Brunelli, Ellie Hasenohr, Annie Hasenohr, Matthew Hasenohr, and Rachel Kasmar.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel at 3 p.m. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
