Johnstown, PA - "Charlie," 57, Johnstown, passed away October 31, 2025, at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by family. Born July 11, 1968, in Johnstown, son of the late Charles D. Sr. and Barbara (Drzal) Holtzman. Survived by loving sister, Judith, married to Daniel Lipinski, Chicago; brother, James Holtzman, married to Laura, Pittsburgh; nieces, Mina and Maeve Holtzman; loving aunts, Roberta Holtzman; Doris, married to Rick Cunningham; uncle, Gilbert Holtzman, married to Lynn; also by many cousins. Charlie was a devout Catholic, a faithful life member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where he served his church with his musical gifts as a dedicated organist and choir director. He was a longtime employee of Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center's IT department. Charlie graduated from Bishop McCort High School and The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown where he earned a Business Economics degree. Charlie loved history and enjoyed visiting many important historical sites while visiting extended family. Charlie's love of history inspired hobbies such as stamp collecting and family genealogy. Charlie was always up for a visit to Pittsburgh to attend his nieces' softball games and graduations. He also loved entertaining them in Johnstown at numerous events. Charlie also beat all of us in Boggle every Thanksgiving. He was well loved by beagles, especially Pinky, Bailey, and Liam Holtzman. Charlie will be remembered for his gentle nature, kindness, and love for community and family. The Holtzman family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Moskal & Kennedy Colonial Funeral Home of Johnstown, where vigil service will be held at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Fr. James Crookston. Committal to follow at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
