New Paris, Pa - FRAZIER - Chester "Chet," New Paris, also known as the Man, the Myth, the Legend of New Paris, PA, went to his eternal home to be with the Lord on Jan. 7, 2026. He passed peacefully in his sleep. He was 63 years old. He will be deeply, deeply missed by his wife of 41 years, Cindy (Harr) Frazier. They were married on Sept. 1, 1984. They have two beautiful and loving daughters, Megan, married to Joseph Fitzpatrick, of Windber, PA, and Tessa, married to Justin Miller, of Randleman, NC. They are the apple of their daddy's eye. He loved them with all his heart. He was always so happy both his girls found wonderful husbands who loved them as much as he did. Chet was also the PROUD Pappy of two grandchildren, Lilly and Liam Fitzpatrick. For a tough "mountain man" it only took a word, a look, or a hug from Lilly and Liam to melt his heart. He took great joy in going to their school functions, sporting events or just spending time with them. When Lilly's school had a Special Someone Dance, Pappy was her date. Liam and Chet would spend hours talking about the Pack or playing sports together. Liam and Lilly also got their Pappy hooked on Fortnite. Chet was employed at Cannondale for many years until it was closed. He was most recently a property manager at the Johnstown Housing Authority. He enjoyed playing softball, hunting and being outdoors, and in his youth running with the "Bueny Boys." Chet had a contagious laugh that bellowed out and no one ever had a doubt who it was. The hole left by Chet's passing will be filled by many, many memories spent with family and friends. Chet was proceeded in death by his father, William Frazier; mother, Dorothy Frazier; brother, James Frazier; and mother-in-law, Mildred Harr. In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, he is survived by his sister, Tammy; brother, Joey; and father-in-law, Richard Harr. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to Emmanual Church, of Johnstown, PA, and Browers Wesleyan Church, of Asheboro, NC, in support of the churches his daughters attend. Chet also had an appreciation for the work done by St. Judes and Smile Train. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, Jan. 11 from 2 to 5 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 12, from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. all at the J.
