Plattsburg, NY - BOSLET - Christopher F. Sr., 88, of Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the UVHN:CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Carrolltown, PA, on Sept. 5, 1936, the son of Francis and Christabol Boslet. Chris met his wife, Jeanne Senecal when he was stationed at Plattsburgh Air Force Base. They were married on Nov. 23, 1957. Chris was stationed in California, Germany, Ohio, Florida, Philippines, Vietnam and New Mexico, retiring as a tech sergeant in 1974. Chris enjoyed spending time with family and friends, golfing and having a beer. He was a member of St. Peter's Church, the Moose Lodge, Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 506 in Carroltown, PA,, and VFW Post 125. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Jeanne, in 2008; a daughter, Julie Tarasavage, in 2021; a son-in-law, Fenton Thompson, in 2020; and his brother, Robert Beatty. Chris is survived by two daughters, Jill Thompson, of Plattsburgh, and Mary Jo Sweet, and her husband Thomas, of Chazy; three sons, Edward Boslet, and his wife Sandy, of Plattsburgh; Christopher F. Boslet Jr., and his husband Joe Rinaldi, of Cape Cod, MA; and Duane Boslet, and his wife Sharon, of Antioch, IL; two brothers, Edward Boslet, and his wife Barbara, and Paul Boslet, and his wife Maryanne; one sister, Mary Jo Feigh; 11 grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, Jennifer, Carissa, Chelsea, Alex, Jack, Emily, Lauren, Ashley, and Caitlin; six great-grandchildren, Hayley, Ian, Isabel, Nevyn, Kolton, Carter and Rowan; a great-great-grandson, Bennett; a son-in-law, Michael Tarasavage; and several nieces and nephews also survive him. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, June 23, 2025, at St. Peter's Church, Plattsburgh. Burial followed in the parish cemetery with full military honors. Locally, friends and family of Chris will be gathering at the American Legion Post 506 in Carrolltown, PA, starting at 4 p.m. on July 16, 2025. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
