Monroeville, PA - 68, of Monroeville, passed away May 28, 2026 at Forbes Regional Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born May 23, 1958 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by father Comfrey Stanford Ickes, Jr.; brothers-in-law Mark Shockey and Jeffrey Stanton and mother and father-in-law Jay Ross Stanton and Gail Stanton-Thomas. He is survived by his mother Phyllis A. Ickes; beloved wife of 42 years, Sharon L. (Stanton) Ickes; children Comfrey Spencer married to Bethany (Smarra) Ickes and Nicole and Sean Ickes; grandchildren Sophia Mae and Gianna Noelle Ickes; sister Jody Shockey married to John Raszewski; brothers Neil married to Denise (Zugaro) Ickes and Christopher married to Marilú (Diaz Casañas) Ickes and sister-in-law Cindy Slifco and husband Steve. Scott was a 1976 graduate of North Star High School, a 1980 graduate of St. Vincent College and a 1983 graduate of Duquesne Law School. He was employed as a Tax Attorney for Arthur Andersen & Co., Mellon Bank, PNC Bank and EQT. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Murrysville. Scott enjoyed running, weight lifting and riding motorcycles. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan and enjoyed playing poker with his friends, weekly lunches with his mother and sister and Bible studies with former colleagues.
