Monroeville, Pennsylvania - David J. Kaltenbaugh age 75, formerly of Johnstown/Altoona area, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024. He is survived by his sister, Shelly Kaltenbaugh; nieces, nephews and many cousins, and fiancée, Genevieve Phillips. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Jane Kaltenbaugh; and sister, Rebecca Kaltenbaugh-Ickes. David graduated from Johnstown High School in 1967, he went on to Juniata College where he graduated in 1971. David received his law degree from Dickinson School of Law in 1977. David specialized in criminal law, where he went on to work as a Cambria County Public Defender and as an Assistant District Attorney for Cambria County. He practiced extensively in many counties, particularly in Blair, Cambria and Huntington. He will be sadly missed by his friends and legal colleagues. He will be especially missed by his legal family, Attorney Thomas Dickey, Brittney Billetdeaux and all the staff at Thomas Dickey Law Office where he was employed for 25 years. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Walnut Grove Church, 1068 Bedford St. Johnstown, Pa 15902, with Rev. Peter Kaltenbaugh officiating.
