Survived by loving wife of 68 years, Betty Jane (Crum) Ellis; children, Diane (David) Corran; Jeffrey (Teresa) Ellis; Jennifer Glass; Donald (Laurie) Ellis; Tracy (Mike) Beaupre; and Susan (Darryl) Kirsch. He will be sadly missed by his 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Brother-in-law, Frank O'Shaben; niece, Becky Rusnak; and nephew, Mark O'Shaben. Retired from Bethlehem Steel after 37 years and enjoyed 33 years of retirement. He loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's many events. He always said his greatest accomplishment in life was the family he and his wife created and deeply loved. He loved to sing and dance with family and friends and was happiest when music was playing and loved ones were gathered together. He was a lifetime member of the Jamestown Rod and Gun and several other clubs in Portage. He loved sports and was active throughout his life playing softball, basketball and golf, well into his seventies. Our family is grateful to Celebration Villa and Gentiva Hospice for their loving care and support. At Don's request, there will be no public visitation or services. Online condolences may be at serenkoclaarfuneralhome.com. The Ellis family is being served by the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage.
