Donald "Don" Joseph Bombatch, of Grove City, passed away on Tuesday evening, Nov. 15, 2022, at Grove Manor, Grove City, comforted by his son. He was 77.
Don was born on Dec. 17, 1944, in Johnstown. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1966. After college, he pursued a dynamic career in the energy and utilities industry; he retired after 31 years as an executive, building droves of friendships along the way.

Those who knew him best will be sure to remember his quick wit, renowned catchphrases, and contagious laugh. He had a way of finding and sharing humor in almost any setting.
Over the years, his favorite hobbies included woodworking, gardening, ATV riding, watching Pirates baseball, and traveling. He was rarely seen without a baseball cap or his or his faithful Weimaraner companion, Heidi, by his side.
He is survived by his son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Zachary, Chelsea, and Andrew Donald Bombatch, Grove City, and a brother and sister-in-law, James and Susan Bombatch, Johnstown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen (Medice) Bombatch, and mother and father, Carl and Ethel Bombatch.
