Nanty Glo, Pa - Pierson - Donald, 74, Nanty Glo, passed away peaceful at home on Jan. 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer for five years. He was born Feb. 16, 1951, in Johnstown, son of the late Bernard and Catharine (Brown) Pierson. Preceded in death brother, Bernie Pierson. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Eileen Pierson; daughters, Rene (Bill) Pierson and Dana (Jeff) Price; grandchildren, Roma, Colton, Logan, and Jake; brother, Robert (Linda) Pierson; sister-in-law, Barb Pierson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #207, Nanty Glo. Visitation will be on Thursday at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12 p.m. Pastor Gary Shingler officiating. Interment to follow in St Mary's Cemetery, Nanty Glo. The family would like to send a special thank you to UPMC Healthcare and Family Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cambria County Humane Society.
