Nanty Glo, Pa - SAGHY - Donald F., 82, Nanty Glo, passed away Jan. 27, 2026, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1943, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Markovich) Saghy. Preceded in death by brothers, Bud Blehar, Bill Blehar, and Joseph Saghy Jr. He is survived by wife, the former Deborah Hawthrone; children, Mark (Dianne) Saghy, Mike (Kim) Saghy, and Carrie Anne (Paul) Sheppard; grandchildren, Victoria Rhodes, Robert Saghy, Alyssa Saghy, Caitlin Kilbane, Benjaman Sheppard, and Samatha Sheppard; stepdaughter, Danielle (Adam) Luko; and stepgrandson, Ethan Luko. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo. Don always had a story to tell that would make others laugh. His larger than live presence would fill the room. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. John Vianney's Church, Father Kevin Queally, celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
