Dora Mae Telenko
(Nicolli), 92, Davidsville, formerly of Jerome, passed away February 21, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born March 4, 1927 in Johnstown. Daughter of Guido and Justina (Basetti) Nicolli. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 69 years James D. Telenko, Sr. on July 26, 2017; sister Emma June Nosal and brother Robert Nicolli. Survived by children James D. Telenko, Jr. married to Carol (Haryu), Barnum, MN; Robert F. Telenko, Lecanto, FL; Jeanne M. Chamer, widow of James J. Chamer, Jr., Davidsville; Donna M. married to Edward J. Block, III, Jerome; Paul G. Telenko married to Christine (Scholle), Bend, OR and David N. Telenko married to Vedette (Vitiello), Alisa Viejo, CA; grandchildren, Christian Telenko; Bobby and Tony Telenko; Jeffery and Jimmy Chamer and Jessica (Chamer) Kline; Megan (Block) Fisher and Marissa Block, Nick Telenko; Carly, Jack, Grant and Audrey Telenko;15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Also survived by in-laws, Ronald and Thomas Telenko and Sara Ruth Zwick and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1945 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School and was a graduate of a beauty school in Johnstown. Owner and operator of former Dora's Beauty Shop, Jerome. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville, former Holy Cross Catholic Church, Jerome and Jerome Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Dora enjoyed bingo, bowling, gambling trips and knitting sweaters and afghans for her family and friends. But most of all, she loved nothing more than being in her kitchen cooking and baking for her family. To quote her husband Jim regarding Dora "When God made you, He threw away the mold because you are certainly one of a kind." Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Friday, February 28th at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a Vigil for the Deceased will be held 2 P.M. Friday. Funeral Mass 10 A.M. Saturday, February 29th at St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville with Rev. Fr. John Mary Thompkins, O.S.B. Following cremation, inurnment will be at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. Donna, siblings and family... I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Dora's passing. She was a sweet and loving lady. I have fond memories of spending time at her home during my high school years. Her and Mr. Jim will be dancing together once again. Hugs and prayers.
