JOHNSON – Dorothy L. “D.J.,” 83, Johnstown, died Nov. 15, 2011, in Johnstown. Born July 12, 1928, in South Fork, daughter of Oliver and Gladys (Wilson) Roberts. Preceded in death by parents and infant son, Robert James. Survived by children, Sheila, wife of Dempsy Howard, Johnstown; Kathie, wife of Samuel Gallaher, Park Hill; Deborah, wife of William “Toby” Hall, Vinco; Terry, married to the former Karen Radnoti, Penn Run; Cheryle Horner, Harrisburg; and Valerie Thomas, Johnstown; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Larry Thomas; also sister, Marion Russell, South Fork; and Oliver “Shortie” Roberts, Ohio. Member of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church and Lee Hospital auxiliary. She retired from Lee Hospital after 30 years of service as an LPN, and also later worked at the Johnstown Flood Museum. Dorothy volunteered her time with different organizations and many of these as her children were growing up. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., 710 Broad St., the Rev. John Weaver, officiating. Private interment will be held at the family’s convenience. Condolences can be sent to the family at ozogfh.com.
