She was a retired school bus driver from Central Cambria School District where she worked 24 years. She enjoyed spending time with fellow drivers and the students. Betty loved to entertain people by playing the organ, accordion and harmonica. One of her biggest talents was her love of carpentry. She built her own home and was always ready with hammer in hand if someone mentioned, "I need to build." She was a mother who always thought of her children even if it meant going without for herself. As a family, we would like to thank the nurses, aids and staff of 365 Hospice for their devoted care. A special thanks to our cousins Judy and Raeann for helping with her care. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Fr. Jeremiah Lange, OSB, PhD, celebrant. Committal, church cemetery.

First time we met; At bus stop in Ebensburg. I was waiting with my Revloc friends for the bus when a girl came up to me and asked if she could walk home with me. I was a bit startled as I did not know who she was. We did walk home together andI found out that she was dating my brother! That's how she knew me. Small world isn't it!
