Elaine M. Boxler Obituary

BOXLER - Elaine M. (Crowley), 74, Richland. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye as Elaine went peacefully to be with the Lord and was reunited with her beloved husband, Sgt. John T. Boxler on March 24, 2025, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 26, 1950, in Johnstown, PA, daughter of Robert and Mary Jane (Bourasa) Crowley. One of the strongest women you'd ever know, a beloved mother to Rebecca and John Boxler Jr., and their respective partners, Jesse and Laurie; beloved grandmother of grandchildren, Tayler, Alexis, Devin, Dayne and Alana; and her greats, Kash, Wilder and Dalilah were the absolute light of her life. She is also survived by her siblings, John, Kathleen, Robert, William and Joan, and numerous nieces and nephews. Elaine worked for and retired from the SSA. She was a lifetime member of the ladies auxiliaries of the Menoher VFW Post #155 and the Richland American Legion Post #849. She enjoyed reading, camping, family time and her dog, Rue. The family will receive friends from noon until time of memorial service at 1 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Father David S. Peles, officiating. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home. Online condolences may be posted at wharrisfuneralhome.com.
