Johnstown, Pennsylvania - 91, of Johnstown, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family December 5, 2025. Born November 29, 1934, in Johnstown, daughter of William and Bella (Rodgers) Manyer. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband Clyde, ending a marriage of 56 years; son, Thomas; stepmother, Edith; brother, Bill; sister, Betty; and stepsisters, Mildred, Lillian, June and Arlene. Loving mother of Deborah, wife of Joe Neisner; Michael Scherer; Margaret "Peggy," wife of Ron Bimeal; Arlene Grubusnik; William Scherer, married to the former Bobbi Boring; Donna Shirt; and Dawn, married to William "Eric" Pringle; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Elsie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was an active member of Daisytown Fire Co., Cover Hill Vol Fire Co. and Cambria County Ladies Auxiliaries. Elsie had been a member of Daisytown Borough Council for many years and was their Vice President for the last few. Elsie was passionate about hockey especially the Tomahawks, and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Geisel Funeral Home-Johnstown, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Michael Van Dyke officiating.
