Eugene S. "Butch" Miorelli Obituary
74, of Lilly, passed away at home April 22, 2018 surrounded by his family. Born October 17, 1944 in Portage, the son of Silvio and Anna (Clark) Miorelli. Deceased family members include his parents, sister MaryAnn Oravecz and twin brother Thomas R. Miorelli, Sr. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sandra (Campagna) Miorelli, whom he married September 18, 1965 at St. Brigid's Church; son Anthony Miorelli and daughter Gina Campbell; granddchildren; Kate, Justin, Anna and Toni and great granddaughter Emma. Brother of David "Corky" (Patsy) Miorelli, Portage;and Mike (Debbie) Novotny, Portage. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends Donna and Pat Spahr. He was a 1962 graduate of Portage Area High School and formerely employed at the S.E.M. Vernon in New Jersey and retired as a Field Supervisor from Standard Laboratory, Cresson. He was an avid hunter and fisherman as well as a charter member of the Lilly Knights of Columbus council 11084 a Fourth Degree Knight, where he served as Financial Secretary from 2006-2015. He was Knight of the Year in 1993-1994, 2004-2005, 2009-2010 and 2013-2014 and also received service awards in 1994-1995 and 2007-2008. He was a member of the Lilly Sokols and American Legion. A special thank you to Grane Hospice. Friends received from 2-8pm Tuesday at the Thomas F. Cloherty Funeral Home, Lilly. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Wednesday at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church, Main Street, Lilly; Father Kevin Queally, T.O.R. celebrant. Committal will be in St. Brigids Cemetery, Lilly. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the Knights of Columbus or the Lilly/Washington Historical Society.
