Evelyn Marie Clark of New Hope died Monday, September 26, 2016 at her residence in New Hope surrounded by her devoted family. She was 96 years old.
Evelyn was the beloved wife of 71 years to the late Richard T. Clark Sr.
Born in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Sadie Abraham Saleeba and was the sister of the late Matilda Evans, Vivian Curry, Nellie Kovac, Betty Sipes and Samuel Saleeba.
Evelyn was a seamstress and had worked for Cay Artley in Johnstown. In her leisure, she enjoyed dancing, playing the violin and spending time with her family. Evelyn was a former communicant of Visitation BVM Church in Johnstown and was presently a Communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doylestown. She will be truly missed by her family and by all who came to know her. The Clark family would like to thank Evelyn's caregivers for all of the compassionate care that has been provided to their love one.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Richard T. Clark, Jr. and his wife Angela of Doylestown, her two cherished grand daughters, Kelly and her husband Dave and Lisa and her husband Steve, along with her 3 great grandchildren, Katie, Mary and Nathan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, September 29th from 9:00am until her Funeral Mass 10:30am in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown, PA 18902. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
