Cassandra, PA - HUTSKY - Evelyn J., 87, of Cassandra, passed away on June 3, 2026, in Portage. She was born on May 17, 1939, in Dunlo. Evelyn was the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Yanich) Paulson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph R. Hutsky; her son, Michael Hutsky; and her siblings, Robert, Raymond, Andrew and Catherine Paulson, Betty Susko, Dorothy Tarachko and Mary Zalucki. Evelyn is survived by her sons, Andrew Hutsky, and his wife June (Shaner), of Lilly; Joseph Hutsky, and his wife Fay (Hoover), of Ashville; and Edward Hutsky, of Cassandra; her former daughter-in-law, Leigh Ann Hutsky, of Mechanicsburg; her grandchildren, Lauren Hutsky, Adam (Lacey) Hutsky, Julianne (Evan) Waldron, Lucas Hutsky (Tessa), Elizabeth (Jake) McAllister, Caroline Hutsky, and Gabriel, Xavier, Blaise and Alissa Hutsky; and her great-grandchildren, Lucas and Clara Hutsky. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a former board member of the Cassandra Borough Council and the Portage Area Ambulance Association. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Wilmore, Father Joseph Nale and Father Matthew Reese, concelebrants.
