92, Carrolltown, passed away February 17, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 3, 1924 in Patton, the daughter of James and Charlotte (Macaluso) Sottile. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred J. (Marks) Marcks, brothers Tony, Sam, John, Mike and Joe Sottile; sisters Mae Kupetz and Rose Shannon and son-in-law James O'Shea. She is survived by children Charlene O'Shea, Richmond, VA; Juliana (Robert) Letavish, North Bloomsville, OH; Diana (Steven) Ford, Burke, VA; Debbie (Charles) Bridge, Springfield, VA; grandchildren Denny (Melody) O'Shea, Laura (Tom) Mancini, Mark (Jennifer) Letavish, Leslie (Kevin) Snyder, Stephanie O'Shea, Maria and Emily Appel, Nicholas Bridge, great grandchildren Brock, Jake, Mya Mancini; Madison, Mark-Anthony, Macie, Matthew Letavish, Forrest Reeves, Ryan, Julia Snyder, Caroline and Chase O'Shea, several nieces and nephews and her caregiver Dorothy Kline. Evelyn owned and operated Freddie's Dry Cleaning in Carrolltown for many years. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, Carrolltown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary; St. Benedict VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul. She enjoyed reading and cooking. Friends will be received at the Boniface Wimmer Room at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral mass Monday, February 20, 2017 Rev. Jude W. Brady, OSB celebrant. Interment St. Benedict Cemetery. Memorials are requested to St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown or the Carrolltown Public Library. (www.stevensfamilyfuneralhomes.com)
