Johnstown, PA - Jordan - Florence "Tootie" (Hunter) Helsel, 89, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026. She was born on June 9, 1936, to the late Robert and Florence (Frech) Hunter. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norbert Jordan, Sr.; daughter, Sharen Stoner (Helsel); siblings, Robert, David, Daniel, Mary Ellen, Dorothy, Doris, James, and Thomas; stepson, Steven "Mick" Jordan; and granddaughter, Kathleen Robertson (Del Signore).

Florence is survived by her sister, Nancy Altemus (Bob); special sisters-in-law, Alma and Thea; children, Linda Kay Del Signore (Lou), Diane Pudliner (Ed), Theodore Helsel, Jr. (Chris), Timothy Helsel (Chris), and Bonnie Lloyd (Vince); stepchildren, Thomas Jordan (Laurie), Robert Jordan (Carol), Christine Jordan (Mick), and David Jordan (Erin). She was deeply loved and cherished by her Hunter Clan, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Tootie found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. She enjoyed playing cards, sharing laughter, and was strong and steadfast in her faith. Her warmth, devotion to family, and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Bridge to Life Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 600 Ash St., Johnstown, PA 15902, or Bridge to Life Church, 101 Nice Ave., Johnstown, PA 15905, in loving memory.
