Stoystown, PA - 99, Stoystown, died May 18, 2026, at Laurel View Village. Born December 11, 1926, in Hooversville, daughter of Lloyd and Margaret (Hughs) Shaffer. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clair W.; daughter, Valli Hall; and infant sister, Amanda Shaffer. Survived by her sons, Kerry (Deborah), of Gladwin, Mich., and Michael (Susan Wallin) Shaffer, Round Lake, N.Y.; son-in-law, William (Fran) Hall; grandchildren: Christopher (Laura) Hall, Melanie (Cory) Brummeler, Amanda (William) Bredl, Lindsay (Michael) Mastrogiovanni, Amy (Jonathan) Archey, Kelly Topa, and Stephen (Katie) Montanaro; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Hooversville High School. Member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville. Florence was funny, smart, politically inclined, could be cutting when she felt like it, and had her greatest interest in cooking, gardening, and endless crossword puzzles.
