Frances Jane Miller
"Fran", 71, Nicktown, passed away October 15, 2019, at home. Born May 4, 1948, in Spangler, daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Kotrick) Wysocki. Fran is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Regis J. Miller; daughters, Sharon (David) Lieb, State College; Suzanne (Matthew) DeRose, Beaver Falls; and son, Brian (April) Miller, Nicktown; grandchildren, Lauren, Adam and Dillon Lieb; Gabriella, Jonathan and Joshua DeRose; and Ethan, Ella, Reed and Brynn Miller. Sister of Theresa Miller, Nicktown; Judith Brozek, Rural Ridge; and Annette Fisanick, Nicktown. Upon graduation from Bishop Carroll High School in 1966, she graduated from the Altoona Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1969. Fran spent her professional career caring for others, having been employed as a pediatric nurse at Miners Hospital for over 20 years. Fran finished her professional nursing career in orthopedics at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Her nurturing personality transcended her professional career as was evident in the love and care she had for her three children and ten grandchildren. She spent her retirement years crafting and particularly enjoyed wreath making; many of her friends and family were the beneficiaries of her creativity. Member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. No viewing or visitation at the request of the deceased. Friends are invited to a memorial mass which will be celebrated at 12 noon Friday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Fr. Matthew Baum celebrant. Committal, St. Nicholas Cemetery.

Fran,we were best friends in nursing school.We did everything and went everywhere together.So glad we were able to meet periodically for lunch these last few years.We had so many memories of our youth.May you be at peace with the Lord.Love You!Pat
