Mineral Point, PA - DOSTAL - Francis Jr. "Doc," 97, of Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, surround by loved ones. Born on Oct. 15th, 1928, in Johnstown, son of Francis M.D. and Mary Kathryn (Pierce) Dostal. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley (Berkey) Dostal; parents; grandchildren, Michael F. Buchan, Jessica Dostal, Luke Dostal, and Anthony Dostal; and sisters, Mary K. Sherman and Betty Belle Wolf. He is survived by his loving children, David, Christina (Terry), Barbara (Bob), Kathy (Joe), Dennis (Darlene), Debbie, Larry, Donald (Brenda), and Eric, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Survived by siblings, Roberta and Ralph, and several nieces and nephews. Francis was a graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School and Clarion University. He retired from MetLife Insurance. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and walking in the woods. Friends and family will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the Baker Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh, where a prayer service will be held 5 p.m. with Deacon Thomas Buige, officiating.
