Cumming, GA - Frank (Hank) Ofsanko, age 98, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on November 4, 2025. Hank was born February 11, 1927, in Conemaugh Township, Pennsylvania and was one of 10 children of the late Lawrence Ofsanko and Anna Polonchak.
He married his "one and only" Helen in Johnstown, Pennsylvania in 1950, where they resided until 1953. They relocated to Decatur, Georgia where they lived for 28 years. In 1982 they moved to Cumming, Georgia. Hank and Helen were married for over 74 years, and you would never see one without the other.
Hank was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served his country in World War II. He served on the USS Fall River and USS Pasadena as a Seaman. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 307 in Cumming, Georgia and prior to that Post 66 in Avondale Estates, Georgia.
He retired from JM Tull Industries after 35 years. He enjoyed vegetable gardening on his farm, word puzzles, travel, and his beer (Pabst or Killian Red). He was an avid sports fan and rooted for the Atlanta Braves, Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs.
He was an active member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church in Cumming, Georgia for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen and is survived by daughters Debbie McCormick, Kathy Ebert Major, Mary Lynn Boeh, (John Boeh) 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Dorothy Ullery, and numerous family members.
Celebration of Life will be held on November 18th at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA 30040 at 11:30 am followed by a small reception. The funeral procession will depart to Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia where Military honors will be rendered at the graveside.
