Windber, PA - PIERRE - George N., 90, Windber, passed away July 30, 2025. Born April 26, 1935, in Windber, son of the late James and Mary Anne (Ohler) Pierre. Preceded in death by brothers, James and Richard Pierre, and sisters, Elise Dembensky, Marjorie Bryzana, Barbara Edwards and Mary Zubek. Survived by loving wife of 38 years, Amelia R. "Millie" (Muscatello) Pierre, Windber; son, Leonard J. Rubal, married to Tina, Ohio; sister, Kathleen DePolo, married to Robert; also by numerous nieces and nephews. George was a faithful life member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Family will receive friends at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber on Sunday, Aug. 3, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at St. Anthony Church, Windber, with Father Rod. Committal to follow at church mausoleum with military honors by Windber VFW.
