83, of Clemmons, NC passed away on March 23, 2025. Gerry was born on September 19, 1941, in Boston, MA to the late Peter & Josephine Romano. In addition to her parents, Gerry was preceded in death by her brothers Benedetto "Benny" Romano, Michael Romano, and Jack Romano and her sisters Pietrina "Pat" Scuderi and Josephine Strazzullo. Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of over 60 years Donald C Rininger Jr. , son Donald C. Rininger III and wife Angela, grandson Colton R. Rininger, brother Sonny Romano of FL, sisters Anna Ruvido, Fannie Picardo, Rosemarie London, all of the North End of Boston and Natalie Coleman of Canton, MA as well as several nieces and nephews. Gerry always took great pride in her family and Italian-American roots. Gerry was a 1960 graduate of Julie Billiart Central High School in Boston and a 1962 graduate of the Boston Mansfield Beauty Academy. She was a devoted Christian and member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Boston and the First Lutheran Church of Waltham, MA. Gerry was a hairdresser and early childhood educator in addition to always providing for her family as a dedicated homemaker. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family, and she was most passionate about cooking meals and baking cakes and cookies for her family and friends. She always treasured cooking pizza and pizzelle cookies in her kitchen at home with her grandson Colton. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She genuinely enjoyed the company of friends and loved to be with them. Friends received 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, PA with James Hinton officiating. Interment Husband Cemetery.
