Johnstown, PA - MULL - Gertrude V., 93, Johnstown, passed away Sept. 10, 2025, at Windber Hospice. Born Aug. 4, 1932, in Johnstown, daughter of Stephen and Elvira (Cindric) Cigich. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Jerry N. Mull (died, May 20, 1974), whom she married Dec. 6, 1952; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Mull; sons-in-law, Pat Tilton and Bobby Blanda; and siblings, Edward Cigich, Charles Cigich, Joseph Cigich, Matilda Cigich, Louis Cigich, Stephen Cigich, Leonard Cigich, Patricia Bradian and Mary Ivarone. Survived by and loving mother of Gerald Mull; Linda Blanda; Carla, wife of Tim Cernic; Regina, wife of Tom Seminsky; Brenda, wife of Mark Petree; Douglas Mull; and Laura, wife of William Valentine; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Also sisters, Phyllis Smith and Eileen Elders, and numerous nieces and nephews. Gertrude was a member of Spirit Life Ministries in Johnstown. Served in the Army during the Korean War. She worked at Rizzo's restaurant, Windber, and the Rizzo family. Loved to crochet and donated her crafts to family, friends and churches. Also donated to numerous charities. She enjoyed playing the slot machines at casinos and especially loved spending time with her family. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, where funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, Pastor Denice Lohr, officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery. Military graveside rites by Windber VFW Post 4795. In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be directed to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, PA 15963, in memory of Gertrude.
