Gregory T. Kitko, 51, of Coraopolis, PA, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center after suffering a heart attack.

He was born on November 5, 1966 in Clearfield, PA the son of the late Allen B. and Jane (Bowley) Kitko.

Gregory was a 1984 graduate of St. Francis High School. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown in 1988 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2000 he received a Master's of Science in Mechanical Engineering specializing in fluid flow and heat transfer from the University of Pittsburgh.

He was a self-employed, entrepreneur having founded GTK Flow Analysis.

He was an avid sports enthusiast. He loved animals, he often donated his time and resources to animal shelters.

Gregory will always be remembered for his quirky sense of humor and the ability of making people laugh. He will be sadly missed by friends and family.

Gregory is survived by his brother, Allen J. "Butch" Kitko and his wife Joyce of West Decatur; his much loved nieces, Kristen (Bradley) Boob, Jennifer (Matt) DeAngelo and Jessica (Jerome) Mick; a step niece and nephew: Nikki Rohrback and Benjamin (Alyssa) Kanour; great nieces and nephews: Anthony DeAngelo, Jackson Boob, Jameson Boob and Grace Rohrback; and his companion, Deborah Poborsky-Cover and her daughter Olivia of Johnstown.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 10am until the hour of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
